The Reviews...Spring 2010 - Adam (by Adam Lippes)

ADAM Spring 2010

Well, I don't know much about this designer but with that said...the collection was spring, good spring! It was interesting, refreshing and all of the good stuff you think about when you hear SPRING ! The happy print, the sheer, the level of comfort this collection portrayed was effortlessly on point!

I gave this Collection – 6 1/2 /10

Pros: The soft & refreshing colours, spontaneous print, level of comfort from every piece.
Cons: Simplicity(that makes it look like an H&M Knockoff), satin dress and odd dark looks.

The Reviews...Spring 2010 - 3.1 Philip Lim!

Ahhh...This is in no way, easy! So many designers...so little time...well just let me say I will be giving a number rating and a few standout looks and “WTF” looks, to get my point across. Also, a few words to describe how I felt about the collection, but lets first talk about Spring...its a lovely time of the year...for fashion, its the time right after that fall/winter collection with the almost I am going into mourning colour choices...to the cheerful amazing colours that bring a smile to one's face.

Lets begin because we have such a long way to go...
Womenswear & Menswear...sigh...

3.1 Philip Lim -
Women's wear

This collection was inspiring to look at, the red monochromatic looks ruled the runway and was an amazing way to start, but don't at all think that was all Philip Lim had to offer because his use of sheer & lace and a unique clumping of the fabric to create a print was breathtaking as well.
My rating: 8 /10
Pros: Soothing colours, unique clumping of fabric, Cropped Dress Shirts
Cons: Some unflattering pleated looks and weird mix of textures & fabrics.

3.1 Philip Lim:

Menswear

This is his first separate runway show for his menswear since it is usually all shown together with his female looks. My honest opinion is if he had shown this with the women's wear, it would have been overlooked so much and for good reason because it was boring and uninspiring. My favorite look is a blue jumper and then maybe...the plain white baseball cut shirt.

I gave this collection – 3 ½ /10

Pros: Not much really...The Jumper and Baseball Cut Shirt.
Cons: Boring, Already Done, Uninspiring!

Hey...let me know what you thought !!

NYC Fashion Week - *i missed it!

Being ohhhh so close and missing all the photographs I could have taken...all thanks to my wonderful friend who wanted to purchase a new bag. Walking from 34st to 42st to Bryant Park to realise that the tents are coming down and no Oprah or Mariah or anyone who is at least fashionable in my eyes(not hating on the names stated but they aren't, at all, trendsetters). Well, I still have my picks and my "WTF's" for Spring 2010, so here it goes...

Flirty Black Dress + Kicks

Rachel Roy...

Simply Amazing...

Manhattan...NY NY!

So...i started off with inspiration...and what better place to go to begin my journey...NEW YORK NEW YORK ! It was an unfortunate week in the city because i went for a funeral...but it was my first time in NYC...and i must say i love it ! The people...the confidence...the style...the vibe...it was unbelievable...

Lets Begin ! My Inspiration!

Konnichiwa...It is inspiration that drives people to do things, great things, and i was inspired. The Sartorialist, was my first real love of street fashion, seeing the ablities of people all around the world to capture your interest by their own sense of style. I have grown alot in my own personal style and i am still growing everyday so i decided to start blogging as it seemed to be a good way to get me a front row seat at NYC Fashion week *Hint Hint* at TAVI, 13 years old and already doing things i wished i could even now at 22, she is an amazing inspiration too, her age is not an issue because she has already learned to be herself and not care about the disgusting remarks, one may get, as a fashionista. Well...here it goes...wish me luck as i embark along this voyage to become...an inspiration as well!
