Local Interview: Swagga The Store!

Well...its been about a week now without a post and I apologise for that! I am happy to say that we have an amazing interview with the store behind the name, Swagga, we all used it at sometime, whether we hate to say it now or not.

Swagga The Store Interview

Gallaria Mall, Broad Street Opposite Cave Shepard

Me: Why the name “Swagga”?

Greg: I was always into style and had mad swagga coming up as a kid into teenage hood so I took it with me growing up. And plus, the word swagger got big and took over the world so I ran with it. ( He chants “No 1 on the Corner”)

Me: Why did you decide to open Swagga ?

Greg: It was my time...I was working for a couple people and just thought I would step up my game.

Me: What separates your store from all the other stores ?

Greg: I sell stuff that stands out from the rest, my motto is the best or nothing, so I sell the best!

Me: So where do you see your store going in the next 2 years...the future of Swagga?

Greg: Well...(*a long pause)...I work with a lot of artists and DJ''s so that works for me, so the sky is the limit. Also, I stay humble and always make time for people.

Me: So you are saying that from here its only bigger and better for Swagga?

Greg: Yup! Swagga is a movement !

Me: Describe your style!

Greg: Well, I mix the preppy with the Street and Boom – Mr Swagga !

Me: What would you say your current favorite piece in your closet is ?

Greg: Ammm - (*The longest pause yet)

Me: Tough One ?

Greg: Alright...it would have to be my Bengi Jeans...$300 US a pair!

Me: Wow...must be amazing...

Greg: Yup...google it

Me: (*Little did he know I already did...)

Me: Sneakers or Dress Shoes?

Greg: Well I love my wallabee but for sneakers – Air Max 95 still rules!

Me: Bow Tie or Original Tie or none at all ?

Greg: Bow Tie

Me: Great Choice but why ?

Greg: Because it's still considered different since most men rock normal ties.

Me: T-Shirt or Dress Shirt ?

Greg: Dress Shirt

Me: My Preference as well...but why, usually guys choose Tees!

Greg: Button downs are always flexable!

Me: I know what you mean, can take you from office to a party!

Me: What music is getting you through the day now (since we know that fashion and music go hand in hand) ?

Greg: Hip Hop takes me through the day!

Me: Anyone in particular?

Greg: Kanye West, Jay-Z & Pharrell!

Me: (*He stated three of my best, i figured he would because We're So Ambitious!)

Me: Who is your favorite designer ?

Greg: Nigo with his whole Bape Movement ! I love how he brings back toys!

Me: What is your favorite store ?

Greg: www.wealthyhostage.com – It is in Brooklyn and Full of swagga!

Me: What do you think about the fashion around you – in barbados?

Greg: Well, I set the trends so it will always be on the the up and ups, Swagga for life!

Me: (*I thought that answer was the best i've heard in a long time)

Me: Amber Rose or Rihanna ?

Greg: Rihanna, Home Drum Beats First and beats loudest!

Me: Kanye West or Chuck Bass?

Greg: Kanye West...F*** Chuck Whoever !

Me: Any advice for anyone else interested in fashion ?

Greg: Be Yourself and always remember good health and hygiene will take you far!

Me: Where do you start first when you are putting together an ensemble ?

Greg: Well, its really according to how I feel about the place I am going, If I have to impress the shoes have to stand out, then a nice fitting pants, then the shirt compliments the rest!
