Menswear FW 2010 - Dolce & Gabbana

Let me first start by saying, Congrats to Dolce & Gabbana for having the most clothing this season by any designer...the runway show was done in a very nontraditional way by sending out a group of guys...maybe between 5-10 at a time, it gave an interesting visual, yeah, but also gave me a harder time critiquing their work. Well, it started with long johns and long john-esque pieces in the most fashionable way you could see them, then showcased an array of sweaters, knits, waistcoats and suits all in a rather dull but still quite satisfying range of blacks, browns and greys. Also some stripes were introduced and more underwear, before the Dolce & Gabbana denim came in abundance down the runway, they were dirty denim like, paint splash, bleached and accompanied by very crisp clean white shirts with so many belts choices and i love the boots as well! Go Dolce & Gabbana for not sparing one last detail on us...it was a sight to see, yeah everything was pretty much basic but i guess that makes for a strong selling collection, since every male fashionista can do with great basics in his closet. As i have said...they left no stone unturned...well they kinda didn't really focus on coats as much as other designers but the show was ended with I think every single model in a vest and slacks walking down the runway at the same time...it was like some kinda of stylish yet casual protest of brilliance! I enjoyed the collection although the innovation was mainly in the show itself!
