Mr.Hare! My new favorite dress shoe brand! Part 2!

This section will have the remaining three shoes of his spring summer 2009 collection...the King Tubby, Sir Coxsone and Jerry Lee! Might i add...these shoes are must haves...just wonderful! I thought i loved the Capote and the Spector but after seeing these i have a strong top 5 now!

More words from Mr.Hare or his website marketing team...below!

The King Tubby!

How many times have you wanted to tell some punk, “Don’t step on my blue suede shoes?” I have never come across a pair of blue suede shoes that could allow one to act so flagrantly, until now. So in honour of the very spirit of rock n roll in 2010, I present The ‘Blue Suede King Tubby Hot Stepper’.

I am also a big fan of brothel creepers, (Google it!) but those natural crepe soles tend to attract the detritus of the street and lead them into your home.

I decided to build a new creeper wedge sole using high density EVA foam that is incredibly light; with a thick leather sole and rubber heal quarter.

I used the Orwell last for its sheer confident attitude. The result is modern. The King Tubby is also available in Black Night and the Red Suede Wally Don.

Enter stage left and right...Sir Coxsone!

Sir Coxsone is a butter soft, off white suede buck, derby built on the Miller last with a high density EVA foam mid sole and leather outer sole.

The whole point of Mr. Hare shoes is to try and create the best thing possible and where the suede buck is often a stripped down summer shoe, Sir Coxsone is made to the same standard and specification as all Mr. Hare shoes are. The classic buck is also essentially a more rounded shoe in most executions; here I have deliberately elongated it for greater elegance. The production Sir Coxsone’s will come with white EVA foam soles.

Now finally the Jerry Lee,

A saddle shoe is basically a whole cut with a saddle reinforcement across the main stress area. It was developed for gym class in the US after the war. So obviously the sportswear thing isn’t new. Even in the 50s it was all about fresh kicks. The Jerry Lee is made from vegetable tanned vachetta leather which, as you know by now, ages like Lauren Hutton. There are many saddle shoes on the market, but only one by Mr. Hare.

The Jerry Lee is built on the Miller last and sits on a smooth, slipper like construction, similar to a leather, bowling shoe, for extra comfort.

The vachetta part of this shoe must be caringly rubbed down with Beeswax at least as often as you wash your car even if that is only twice a year.

Now chimes in...Jr from Stylistic Imagination...
aren't they beautiful??
sigh!
Its kinda hard to order my top three...but if i had to...it'll be
1) Sir Coxsone...
2) The King Tubby...Sh%T do you see that red suede!!
3) The Jerry Lee...and not a far number three either...the two toned beautiful is sooo worthy!

I hope you enjoyed this little trip into the land of Mr.Hare...i sure did...so much i don't want to leave!
